On Artistry and the Internet

With the Internet, Damian and I can read each other's works instantly. This is certainly a technological improvement over the old days, where I'd have to hand Damian a piece of paper days or weeks after writing something. Getting comments in real time gives me gives me better insight and context -- since my thoughts are in the same place that they were when I finished the story.

The Internet is a miracle -- we can write for the joy of it at little to no cost.

Notice, I do not speak of the Internet as a money-making venture. This is because the Internet is not a get-rich-quick scheme.

To me, the strength of the Internet is that it's a great tool for keeping in touch with friends and family, as well as cataloging previous conversations and events via words, pictures, audio, and video. It's like a living museum of our lives, that gives us new exhibits to look forward to in real time.

Time Block

Hey fans -- I'm currently working on several D.S. and Soul Patrol tales ... and there are other ideas for the Shadow Gentleman floating in the back of my mind.

In short, Damian and I have tons of stuff to write concerning the Dream Seeker Universe! We certainly don't have a creative block!

And, there's always the dream of branching into other mediums, since people don't read anymore. My current favorite is producing an old-time radio serial based on some of the Velvet Mask chapters.

The thing is, Damian and I have a time block. We both have lives ... we're not reclusive writers who live off our words.

I wouldn't trade the life I'm living for anything, so it's really not a problem. It's just that the ideas keep building and time keeps shrinking.
